Sam's Club Grant awarded to St. Elizabeth Hospital's Asthma Education Program

The Siegen Lane Sam's Club awarded a $1,000 community grant to St. Elizabeth Hospital for its Asthma Education Program. Ronnie Zacharias presented the grant check to representatives of the hospital on July 10, 2013.
According to Kevin Buckels, AE-C, Certified Asthma Educator and Coordinator for the hospital's Asthma Education Program, the grant money will be used to fund diagnostic equipment and supplies for use especially in the hospital's outreach to Ascension Parish schools. Asthma is a condition which frequently goes undiagnosed. Untreated, the condition can lead to further complications later in life. "This is why testing for Asthma at a young age is so important, and why the Sam's Club's grant is significant," said Buckels. "We are very grateful to Sam's for helping with this program and the people of our community."
