Gov. Jindal to launch statewide tour
Gov. Bobby Jindal will launch a statewide tour today. The tour will take him to all 64 parishes. The first stop is in Alexandria at Central Louisiana Technical Community College where he will sign legislation to provide funding for projects at community and technical colleges across Louisiana.
The Governor's tour will include a variety of stops including events to highlight new economic development announcements, education achievements, transportation projects, coastal restoration projects, and legislation passed in the recent legislative session.
Jindal said, "We've made incredible progress over the last five and a half years by making Louisiana a better place to do business, improving our education system, overhauling our ethics code, revamping the workforce development, and cutting taxes, but we've got more work to do and I want to hear from Louisianians firsthand about issues that matter most to them. The people of Louisiana shouldn't have to come to Baton Rouge to see their Governor. Since I entered office, I've been fortunate to visit every parish multiple times and I look forward once again to visiting communities across the state to hear from Louisianians firsthand."
