He was a resident of Morgan City, former resident of Gonzales, and native of West Monroe. He passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. He was the Owner of Ascension Ready Mix, a Lifetime Member of Duck's Unlimited, and a commissioned Deputy with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. Visitation was held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, May 10 from 8:30 a.m. until Funeral Service at noon.

Frey, Debbie

She was 61, a native and resident of Donaldsonville. She passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at her home. She was a high school graduate of Ascension Catholic High School and a Registered Nurse from Our Lady of The Lake Nursing School. Entombment in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church mausoleum.

Hahn, Allen Louis

A native and resident of Donaldsonville, he passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at his home. He was 74. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served for 5 years. Interment in Assisi Catholic Church mausoleum.

Jackson, Rosia Lee “Mama Rosia”

Rosia Lee Jackson a resident of Gonzales passed away on May 8, 2013. She was former cook and caterer for various places in Gonzales such as Bea's Diner, Tullier's Truck Stop and Chef KD's. Visitation will be Friday May 17, -?013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at New St. Joh Fellowship in Gonzales, LA and her services will be Saturday May 18,2013 At 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Clarence Stephens. She was survived by Two(2) daughters Cherrral Hasten and Shelita Jackson and a host of family and friends.

Lambert, Adam Norris

He was killed in an automobile accident on Friday, May 3, 2013. He was a life-long resident of Ascension Parish, was 21 and a graduate of East Ascension High School. He was a Star Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, Istrouma Council Troop 65. He was employed by E.A. Sports as a video game designer. Interment will be in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales.

McBrayer Jr., John

He was a native of Arkadelphia, Ark. and a resident of Baton Rouge, and most recently Gonzales. He passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013. He was 83. A 34-year officer in the U.S. Navy. A professional photographer at one time, he was employed with Kadair's and Southern Camera prior to his retirement. Interment in Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary.

Medus, Miriam Acosta "Chief"

She was born Dec. 23, 1930 and died May 3, 2013. She was 82, a native of Donaldsonville and a resident of Gonzales. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Ascension Parish Schools in Donaldsonville. Interment in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery, Donaldsonville.

Noel, Elizabeth Couvillion

She passed away on Saturday May 11, 2013. A native of Germantown, TN, and resident of Memphis, she was 31. She was born on Jan, 7, 1982 in Louisiana where she resided until moving to Memphis in 2004. She married in Prairieville in 2004. She was a hair stylist. Visitation was held Wednesday, May 15, beginning at 10 am. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville.
