Anderson, Darren Paul

A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Dutchtown, he passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. He was 44 years old and a plumber. Interment in Killian Cemetery.

Bellelo, Daisy

She was 89 and passed away at her home in Baton Rouge at 12:30 a.m. on March 30, 2013. She was born Sept. 28, 1923 in Lakeland, was a graduate of Poydras High School and lived for many years in Donaldsonville. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Blouin, Donald

A retired process operator with Shell Chemical and a U.S. Marine Veteran. A lifelong resident of Donaldsonville. He passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 62. Burial in Protestant Cemetery, Donaldsonville with Military Honors.

Crochet, Henrietta “Irene”

She was 70 and passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013. She was a native of Galveston, TX and resident of Donaldsonville. She was a retired gas station attendant for two different stations with 12 years of service and owner operator of Irene's Grass DetaiI Service serving Ascension and surrounding parishes on her Grasshopper riding lawnmower for the past 22 years. Her wishes were to be cremated. Private services will be held at a later date.

Gautreau, Charlotte Sheehan

She was a native of Boston, Massachusetts and resident of Gonzales. She passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Heritage Manor Baton Rouge after a long battle with Alzheimer's Dementia and Parkinson's disease. She was 84 years of age, born April 5, 1928. She graduated from Fr. Fitton Catholic High School in East Boston. She worked for the federal and state governments. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville.

Gautreau, Isabel Webb

A native of Hobart and a resident of Prairieville she passed away Sunday at 6:30 a.m., March 31, 2013 in Baton Rouge. She was 82 and a homemaker. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery, Prairieville.

Jacobs, Jackie W.

A resident of Maurepas, he passed away on March 27, 2013. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Saturday, April 6, from noon until Memorial Service at 3 p.m.

James, Sidney “Sid”

A native of Prairieville, he was born in Oak Grove. He passed away at The Carpenter House on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Services were held on Saturday, March 30 at The Church in St. Amant.

Kolb, Dr. Rudolph Charles

He was 87 and a native of Vicksburg, MS. He passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at his home in Donaldsonville. He was a retired Veterinarian with the USDA, with over 30 years of service. He continued to work another 15 years in private practice in Donaldsonville. Entombment in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church mausoleum.

Mayers, Lionel A. “Bully”

“Bully” Mayers passed into eternal life on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve. He was a lifelong resident of Lake and Galvez and had just celebrated his 90th birthday on March 19, 2013. He was retired with 31 years of service at Burnside Terminal as a crane and locomotive operator. He served with the 757th Railroad Battalion U.S. Army in WW II. He was a lifetime honorary member of Operating Engineers local 406, also a member of American Legion Post 81 of Gonzales, member of New River Baptist Church and New River Lodge 402 Order of Masons and Order of Eastern Star Lodge 163. Visiting was held at Faithful United Methodist Church, St. Amant on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 2 p.m. Burial followed in the church cemetery. He is survived by his two daughters and sons in law, Jeannette Dabbs and husband, Joe of Central and Patricia Cannon and husband, TC of Galvez; four grandchildren, Stacey Dabbs Bragg, Darryl Dabbs, Tonya Cannon Brown and Stephen Cannon; five great grandchildren, Dylan and Dawson Dabbs, Jace Bragg, Beau and Brylee Brown; a brother, Luther “Pewee” Mayers; and a sister, Lenora “Kitty” Russell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Bernice Keller Mayers; parents, Lee Honest “Pa Jim” Mayers and Ethel “Ma Jim” Yard Mayers; two brothers, Lloyd “Syrup” and Linden “Crop” Mayers; two sisters, Laura Roussell and Lillian Pendarvis. Pallbearers were his grandsons and great-grandsons. His great-granddaughter served as honorary pallbearer. The family would like to thank the staff of the SELWVH for their care and support during the last five years. Special thanks to Laine and the Serenity Hospice staff for their sincere care and support during his last days. Michel, Stephen Michael

He was 63 and passed away with cancer. A native and resident of Donaldsonville, he retired from Shell Chemical in Geismar with 30 years of service then worked for Harang Sugars. He graduated from Nicholls State University. Interment in Ascension of Our Lord Cemetery.

Rondino, Andrea Joseph

A homemaker, she passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 55, a native of Donaldsonville and a resident of Belle Rose. Interment in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church cemetery, Donaldsonville.

Scallan Jr., Stephen L. “Chip”

Age 57, a native of Baton Rouge, and a resident of St. Amant, LA, he died March 25, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home

Wall Jr., John T.

A native of Terrel, Texas and resident of Gonzales, he died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at his home. He was 64. A celebration of his life will take place at the Gonzales Veterans Memorial Park, S. Irma Blvd., on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 5 p.m.
