Ascension Parish officials issued a heavy rain event update with current road closures and sand/bag locations.

· Lake Martin Area, Corner of Hwy. 431 and Lake Martin Avenue

· Geismar VFD, 12171 Hwy. 73, Geismar

· Sorrento Town Hall

· Ridge Road

· Astroland

All Ascension Parish waterways are closed to recreational boat traffic until further notice.
