COVID-19 in Louisiana schools: March 31 update shows parishes with most student, adult cases

The Louisiana Department of Health releases weekly updates on reported COVID-19 cases in schools, including adults and students.
See how each parish fares.
The weekly reports tell how many schools in a parish are enrolled in reporting, but do not give a specific district or campus breakdown of positive cases.
Across the state, 298 new student cases were reported March 22-28, as were 169 new cases among adults.
As of the March 31 LDH report, the parishes with the highest totals in student cases are:
- St. Tammany: 2,341
- Jefferson: 1,363
- East Baton Rouge: 1,266
- Lafayette: 1,083
- Ascension: 998
The parishes with the most student cases reported March 22-28 are:
- St. Mary: 32
- East Baton Rouge: 28
- Ascension: 22
- St. Tammany: 21
- Lafayette: 21
- Livingston: 21
The parishes with the most total cases among faculty, staff and volunteers are:
- St. Tammany: 758
- Jefferson: 629
- East Baton Rouge: 580
- Calcasieu: 489
- Orleans: 469
The parishes with the most cases reported March 22-28 among adults are:
- Livingston: 77
- Calcasieu: 14
- Lafayette: 13
- Cameron: 11
- Tangipahoa: 7
- St. Tammany: 6
