St. Amant DECA gets a basketball treat

St. Amant High School's DECA attended the New Orleans Pelicans game on Dec. 11 against the Washington Wizards. Before the game, DECA members attended several sessions from business professionals in marketing, entertainment and hospitality. 

Students Starla Strait and Zaria Provo interviewed two Pelican’s dancers and Louisiana DECA state officer Victoria Stewart presented the game ball representing both Louisiana and Louisiana DECA. 

DECA teamed up with the Sheriff’s Office to help solve some families troubles that occurred during Christmas. STA DECA chapter, as well as other DECA chapters, bought Christmas stockings to stuff them with toys for the children who can’t afford them.
