Pizzolato named principal of Ascension Catholic
DONALDSONVILLE – The Ascension Catholic School Board announced the appointment of Sandy Pizzolato as the new administrator and high school principal of Ascension Catholic Diocesan Regional School effective July 1.
Pizzolato holds a bachelor of science degree in business and a masters in administration from Nicholls State University.
She is a 10-year veteran teacher in both public and parochial schools. Pizzolato has taught several years at Ascension Primary and Middle schools, leaving only to pursue her advanced degree.
She has served as chairperson for the Southern Association Evaluation Team, curriculum representative for Core Knowledge and assistant to principal Janice Burns for federal programs.
She is married to Brad Pizzolato (a 1993 ACHS graduate) and they are the parents of two children, Katie and Sarah, both students at Ascension Catholic. They reside in Donaldsonville.
