Friday night capped a week of graduation celebrations. East Ascension High School held its ceremony for the 2009 class in the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales.

Donaldsonville High School and Ascension Catholic High School also held graduation ceremonies. Dutchtown High School's was Wednesday night at Griffin Field. St. Amant High School students graduated Thursday night in the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center.

Courtney Marie Stein is the East Ascension valedictorian.

The East Ascension salutatorian is Arienne Ferchaud.
