St. Amant Primary learns about world

Staff reports
The pre-kindergarten students in Stephanie Krouse’s class at St. Amant Primary have been learning that children and families around the world differ in many ways. With money from an Ascension Fund grant, Krouse was able to purchase a variety of multicultural learning materials for the children to enjoy. Left, students Austin Allert, Kane Fontenot and Ja’Niya Deverteuil participate in one of the activities. Books depicting children and families from different cultures were read throughout the year. The children were able to “walk around the world” on a large world map rug, dress up in costumes and listen to music from different countries. Puzzles depicting the world and children with varying disabilities were also enjoyed. This grant was sponsored by a Lion Copolymer Endowment Grant.
