St. Amant senior awarded scholarship
Staff reports
Beau Wilson, a senior in St. Amant High’s Advanced Drama III, recently auditioned at Northwestern for a theater scholarship.
He performed two monologues from the STHS’s plays, “Dracula” (as Count Dracula) and “A Midsummer Night's Dream” (as a male lead, Oberon) as well as the song “Leaning on a Lamppost” (from Me and My Girl).
He was awarded Northwestern's highest scholarship available for performing arts, $1,100 each semester, which only 5 percent of incoming freshmen earn. This is in addition to his TOPS scholarship.
