Gonzales Middle welcomes honorary members

Three honorary members of Gonzales Middle School were named Feb. 6. Honorary members, Superintendent of Ascension Parish Schools Donald Songy, Mayor Barney Arceneaux and Gonzales Chief of Police Sherman Jackson, addressed the Gonzales Middle School staff and students about the school’s achievements. Three honorary members of Gonzales Middle School were named Feb. 6.

Honorary members, Superintendent of Ascension Parish Schools Donald Songy, Mayor Barney Arceneaux and Gonzales Chief of Police Sherman Jackson, addressed the Gonzales Middle School staff and students about the school’s achievements.

Songy congratulated GMS for being named one of the Top 10 Positive Behavior Support Schools in Louisiana.

Arceneaux  announced that he was presenting GMS with a Proclamation declaring Feb. 9, 2009 as Gonzales Middle School “Athletic Champs Day.”

Jackson reminded students that the Gonzales Police Department are ready and willing to assist them when needed.
