Galvez Primary learn French painting

Annick Guilmot’s Galvez Primary fourth-grade students have been learning about the French Post-Impressionist painter Paul Cezanne.

After discovering Cezanne’s life and work they choose one of Cezanne’s still-life or landscapes to reproduce.

This unit is part of the threefold Ascension Fund Grant called “Masterpieces by Little Masters” that will enable the students to discover and imitate famous painters.

“Students were very eager to paint as they seldom have the opportunity to do so in class,” said a school spokesperson.
