St. Theresa School attends Beta District Day

St. Theresa School took first place in the Banner competition at Junior Beta District Day. Students who worked on the banner were (left to right): Celeste Fenley, Taylor Hardy, Kate Wall, Morgan Miller, Taylor Babin, Amelia McGovern, Mandie Melancon, Molly Landry, Kayla Braud, and Gabrielle Guiterrez.

St. Theresa School recently attended Beta District Day Jan. 31 at Gonzales Middle School. There were many students attending from area schools with many placing in various competitions. St. Theresa  was well represented in the students who placed.

In Group Talent, St. Theresa School placed first. Molly Landry and Ryan White won second place in the T-shirt Design competition.

In the Banner competition, 1st place was won by Celeste Fenley, Molly Landry, Amelia McGovern, Mandie Melancon, Morgan Miller, Taylor Babin, Taylor Hardy, Gabrielle Guiterrez, Kayla Braud, and Kate Wall.

Mandie Melancon and Amelia McGovern’s design took fifth place in the Poster competition. Ryan White won second place in Poetry, and Morgan Miller took fifth place in Public speaking.

There were also many other students who represented St. Theresa very well at District Day. The list of others who competed is as follows: Impromptu speaking - Kelbie Kerr; Math - Heidi Nowakowski; Spelling Bee - Taylor Babin; and Quiz Bowl - Tyler Savoy, Ana Britton, Madison Knott, and Allison Petite. 

St. Theresa School student Taylor Santos holds the first place plaque earned by the school’s Junior Beta Club in the group talent competition at Junior Beta District Day held at Gonzales Middle School.
