Gonzales Middle School gets visit from Police Chief

Staff reports
Gonzales Police Chief Sherman Jackson shakes Theresa Bernal's hand while Rynesha Taylor looks on (both sixth graders).

Gonzales Chief of Police Sherman Jackson, officer Jimmy Dunaway and Sergeant Dowell E. Brenn mingled and talked to Gonzales Middle School students Jan. 7 in their outreach efforts to encourage positive interaction.

Jackson plans to have a police officer visit the Gonzales schools each day in order to build relationships with the students.

“We love you and will be there to help out if you need us, all you have to do is ask,” said Jackson.
