Dutchtown High Beta Club attends District Day

A delegation of 13 members of the Dutchtown High School Beta Club attended District Day at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond Nov. 12. From left, are, back row, Spencer May, Ian Hanlon, Jeff Boudreaux, Ferris McDaniel, Shelby Seal and Maureen Ballotta; third row, Chanie Mire, Lauren Blouin, Anna Ferrell, Amanda Musselman, Jennifer Villarrubia; second row, Shelby Schexnailder and Lindsay Eubanks; and front, Alex Braud. Members participated in various events, including Quiz Bowl and Special Talent competitions. The Quiz Bowl Team, comprised of Jeff Boudreaux, Ian Hanlon, Spencer May, Ferris McDaniel, Shelby Seal, and Jennifer Villarrubia received a first place trophy in their competition. The Special Talent group, made up of Lauren Blouin, Chanie Mire, Amanda Musselman and Anna Ferrell, brought home a second place trophy for their dance performance. Others who attended the event were Alex Braud, Lindsay Eubanks, Shelby Schexnailder, Maureen Ballotta, sponsor and Chris Schexnaydre, teacher.
