Noted speaker to visit area schools

Dr. Michael Pritchard, a motivational, educational, and inspirational speaker for multiple character education assemblies, will speak at six schools in the Diocese of Baton Rouge, including St. Theresa in Gonzales and Ascension Catholic in Donaldsonville, through Wednesday Jan. 23.

Dr. Pritchard is recognized as one of America’s most trusted and respected youth counselors. He is the host of many award-winning teen guidance programs widely broadcast on public television and seen by millions of young people in schools and youth organizations across the United States.

He is a celebrated keynote speaker at education conferences and an advisor to school districts and organizations on prevention topics, including drug and alcohol abuse and school violence. He uses his uncanny ability to foster lively, spontaneous teen-centered discussions to give students insights on how to become the best people they can be.

Dr. Pritchard will also speak at St. Peter Chanel in Paulina, St. Elizabeth in Paincourtville, and Our Lady of Mercy and St. Louis King of France in Baton Rouge. These assembly presentations will address issues of bullying (including cyber space), taunting, diversity, inclusion, respect for self and others, how to connect with each other to build a safe school community and stepping up to the responsibility to look out for each other and to make healthy and wise choices.
