Ultra Light Plane crash in the St. Amant community

The St. Amant Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad were dispatched to 43208 Weber City Road, St. Amant at 7:34 p.m., Aug. 30 for an Ultra-Light Plane crash, stated Chief Officer James E. LeBlanc.

Reports from witness’s that actually saw the Ultra-Light Plane come down, stated the pilot fell over 100 ft., LeBlanc said. The name of the pilot is being withheld until family members can be notified.

Injuries appear to be moderate and the pilot was taken by Air Med to a local facility. Emergency crews remained on scene for further investigation.
