APSO releases January Operation No Show warrants

APSO Report
Dane Sheets, 23, of 16310 Beech St., Prairieville, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for domestic abuse battery.

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Hanna reports the Sheriff’s Office is continuing its efforts in the parish to arrest individuals that are failing to appear in court after being arrested on felony and misdemeanor criminal charges. The ongoing initiative is “OPERATION NO SHOW.”

Persons who are arrested on criminal charges are entitled to a bond.  Upon bonding from jail the individual is given notice to be in court on a specific date.   The following individuals ignored their court date which subsequently led to a bench warrant being issued by the court for failure to appear:

Dane Sheets, 23, of 16310 Beech St., Prairieville, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for domestic abuse battery.

Tyler Perkins, 29, of 115 North Anita St., Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substance; failure to dim lights, driving under suspension, second possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nathan Chaney, 29, of 18312 Syble Road, Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of altered prescription, possession of CDS IV, possession of controlled dangerous substance III, and is wanted on a patrol warrant for domestic abuse battery.

In an effort to reduce these felony bench warrant numbers, the Sheriff’s Office is airing a photograph and name of a person that has failed to appear in court, Major Hanna said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-INFO (4636) or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867).
