Detectives make multiple arrests in Geismar

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received information indicating Travis Darville, 39, 12371 Deck Blvd., Geismar, was engaged in illegal drug activity at his residence.
Detectives launched an investigation over a one-month period, which was successful in developing sufficient probable cause for a search warrant of Darville’s home.
On Tuesday, Aug. 5, narcotics detectives executed the warrant at the home where Darville was present. Additionally, detectives located five other adults, along with a juvenile, in the home. The search yielded a quantity of methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, as well as a hand gun and $4,000 in cash.
The following individuals were located at the residence and arrested: Darville was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession of MDMA, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of weapons, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor.
Darville’s bond was set at $55,639 by Judge Alvin Turner.
Chaise Curtis, 32, also of 12371 Deck Blvd. in Geismar, was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of weapons, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor.
Curtis’ bond was set at $55,933 by Judge Alvin Turner.
Frank Rios, 50, also of 1271 Deck Blvd., Geismar, was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and active warrants for contempt of court.
Rios’ bond was set at $21,089 by Judge Alvin Turner.
Curtis Cryer, 55, 17911 Old Jefferson Highway, Prairieville, was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an active warrant for contempt of court. Cryer’s bond was set at $5,334.50 by Judge Alvin Turner.
Darion Henderson, 19, 11561 Fair Oak Ave., Baton Rouge, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Henderson’s bond was set at $1,089 by Judge Alvin Turner.
Melanie Marchand, 41, 7759 Elliot Rd. in Baton Rouge, was arrested possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Marchand’s bond was set at $11,089 by Judge Alvin Turner.
Two male juveniles and one female juvenile were also located at Darville’s home.
Each was issued a summons and released to parent.
