Three arrested for vandalizing Galvez Middle School

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Lt. Col. Bobby Webre arrested three individuals for vandalizing Galvez Middle School late Wednesday night (July 30).

Deputies were conducting foot patrols around Galvez Middle School on Wednesday because of recent vandalism at the school that occurred Tuesday night (July 29).   Deputies determined that three buildings had been broken into and numerous windows had been shattered. There was also damage to the school’s computer server and several surveillance cameras.  While patrolling the school deputies encountered one of the suspects on the school grounds and arrested him on several charges.  It was later determined that two juveniles were also involved in damaging school property. 

Khrystopher Landix, 18, of 41379 Tullip Hill Drive, Prairieville, was arrested and charged with three counts of simple burglary, 37 counts of simple criminal damage to property, seven counts of criminal mischief, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where his bond has not yet been set.

A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary, 33 counts of damage to property, and three counts of criminal mischief.

A 12-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary, 33 counts of damage to property, and three counts of criminal mischief.

Both juveniles were booked into the Assumption Youth Detention Center.
