Kelvin Clark, 41, of 16360 Tillotson Road, Prairieville was arrested on Monday, June 30 for failing to complete registration requirements for sex offenders for a second time, said Lt. Col. Bobby Webre.

On March 17, 2013, Clark was arrested for failure to complete registration requirements and was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. He was released on March 14, 2014 and by law is required to report to the Sex Offender Division within three days of his release date, which he failed to do.

Due to Clark not complying detectives began searching for him and was located at a residence on Bayou Narcisse Road in Gonzales which is not a registered residence for him to reside.

As a result, Clark was arrested for failure to register and notify as a Sex Offender and transported to the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set.

Clark is classified as a Tier I Sex Offender which requires a 15-year registration period.

“The benefit of registering for this confidential e-mail alert service allows us to monitor your important addresses for you, thereby keeping you up to date of newly registered offenders and making it unnecessary for you to have to check your important addresses daily or even weekly.  You can register any and all of the addresses where your children spend a lot of time, for example friends, grandparents, or babysitters addresses” says Lt. Col. Webre. The alerts are in real-time and sent out via e-mail as soon as a new offender has registered with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
