Mother and son arrested for selling fake inspection stickers

Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Lt. Col. Bobby Webre reported the arrest of a mother and son selling fake motor vehicle inspection stickers.

From July 2013 to current, deputies issued over 100 citations involving fake motor vehicle inspection stickers issued to citizens in the city of Donaldsonville and surrounding areas.

Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office detectives began an investigation and learned through several witnesses that fake motor vehicle inspection stickers were being sold by a mother and son from Geismar.

Alphalia Hernandez, 62, of 11236 Emerson Dr., Geismar was charged with 19 counts of forgery of motor vehicle inspection certificates. Her son, Kelly Williams, 31 of 11236 Emerson Dr., Geismar was charged with 120 counts of forgery of motor vehicle inspection certificates. They were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
