Suspect turns herself in
On Monday, Aug. 19, 27-year-old Tiffany Victor turned herself in to Ascension Parish Sheriff's authorities on charges for accessory after the fact of attempted first-degree feticide and accessory after the fact of attempted second-degree murder.
Victor was charged in her involvement of the shooting of Kenyia Houston, 25 of Gonzales.
At approximately 4:20 a.m. Wednesday morning, Aug. 14, Houston was leaving her residence when the alleged shooter, Cowan Collins, approached her vehicle firing several shots at her. She fled the scene in her vehicle in an attempt to save her and her unborn baby's life from the gunman that ended in her wrecking her car at the intersection of Highway 621 and Orleans Drive in Gonzales.
During the investigation, detectives learned that Tiffany Victor is the current girlfriend of Collins and had some involvement in the shooting.
Victor, of 215 Medine Court, Laplace was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
