Shooting in Donaldsonville leaves teen in critical condition

Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Colonel Bobby Webre reported the shooting of a 19-year-old Donaldsonville man on Sunday night, July 14.

On Sunday evening, deputies were dispatched to Dville Village apartments in Donaldsonville in reference to a large fight, but when deputies arrived there was no fight located. A short while later deputies received a call regarding possible shots fired in Dville Village. Deputies located Brisecon Jasmin with a gunshot wound to the head. Jasmin was transported to an area hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Investigators have been working throughout the night conducting interviews with witnesses and questioning a number of persons of interest. No arrests have been made at the present time.
