Fallen officers to be honored May 8

To honor the memory of Louisiana officers killed in the line of duty in 2012, the Louisiana Law Enforcement Officers Memorial invites all to attend its 12th annual memorial service.
The event will be held at the site of the monument in front of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 8. The memorial service will honor the dedicated officers who sacrificed their lives to protect and serve Louisiana communities. The program will feature remarks from Tulane Law School Assistant Dean Jim Letten, a 21-gun salute and musical performances by Baton Rouge Police Department Lieutenant Mavis Johnson.
The 10 officers whose names have been most recently etched into the memorial are:
