Man wanted for attempted murder surrenders to law enforcement

Joshua Stephens, a 19-year-old Prairieville man surrendered to police Tuesday night after he was involved in an altercation with another male subject and pulled a gun that shot a female victim in the foot, according to Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Chief Tony Bacala.
Stephens had an altercation with another male subject, who suffered minor injuries, where he pulled a gun, fired several shots, and fled from the scene.
Stephens was arrested and charged with two counts attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments, firearm on premises of alcohol beverage outlet, and disturbing the peace.
He is currently incarcerated at the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
