Early this morning shortly after 3 a.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on LA Hwy 42 (Burbank Dr.) at Staring Ln. in East Baton Rouge Parish.

The initial investigation by State Police revealed that 19 year old Baker resident Tyrone Davis was in the roadway on Burbank Dr. when he was struck and killed by an unknown westbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene, and continued traveling west on Burbank Dr.

Troopers believe that the vehicle may be an early to mid-1980's model Ford F-150 pickup truck. The vehicle may have possibly been repainted to an aqua blue or teal color, and will possibly have damage to the passenger side head light and grille area. This incident remains under investigation, and Troopers urge anyone with any information to please contact Louisiana State Police Troop A (225-754-8500) or their local law enforcement agency.
