STATEMENT OF WORK:

This project consists of the installation of overhead coiling doors and security and safety glazing film along with all appurtenances and hardware to be rated at 115 miles per hour. Construction shall include this installation at five different fire stations across the parish.

All Bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 120 East Railroad Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 (P.O. Box 2392, Gonzales, Louisiana 70707).

ENVIRONMENTAL

QUALITY

AND HERITAGE-CRYSTAL CLEAN, LLC

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality and Heritage-Crystal Clean, LLC, Agency I nterest Number 11270, have entered into a proposed settlement agreement, Settlement Tracking No. SA-HE-11-0007, concerning the State’s allegations of environmental violations by Respondent at its facility in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, which allegations are set forth in Consolidated Compliance Order and Notice of Potential Penalty, LDEQ Enforcement No. HE-CN-06-0221.

The Department of Environmental Quality will accept comments on the proposed settlement for the next forty-five (45) days. The public is invited and encouraged to submit written comments to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of the Secretary, Legal Affairs Division, Post Office Box 4302, Baton Rouge Louisiana 70821-4302, Attention: Claudia I. Rush, Attorney. All comments will be considered by the Department of Environmental Quality in reaching a decision on whether to make the settlement final.

Terms and conditions of the proposed settlement agreement may be reviewed on the Department of Environmental Quality’s website at , by selecting Divisions, Enforcement, and Settlement Agreements. Pursuant to La. R.S. 30:2050.7(D), the Department of Environmental Quality may hold a public hearing regarding this proposed settlement when either of the following conditions are met: 1) a written request for public hearing has been filed by twenty-five (25) persons, by a governmental subdivision or agency, or by an association having not less than twenty-five (25) members who reside in the parish in which the facility is located; or 2) the secretary finds a significant degree of public interest in this settlement.

The LDEQ, Office of Environmental Services, is accepting written comments on a  Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permit prepared for Super Stop Enterprises, Inc., Sorrento Super Stop, 5423 Highway 44, Gonzales, LA  70737.  The facility is located at 7140 Highway 22, Sorrento, Ascension Parish.  Upon the effective date of the final permit, the LPDES permit shall replace the previously issued LPDES permit.

The principal discharge from this  source  made into Panama Canal (via LA Highway 22 Ditch), waters of the state classified for primary contact recreation, secondary contact recreation, and propagation of fish and wildlife.  Under the SIC  5541 and 5812, the applicant proposes to discharge treated sanitary wastewater and stormwater runoff from an existing truck stop.

During the preparation of this permit, it has been determined that the discharge will have no adverse impact on the existing uses of the receiving waterbody.  As with any discharge, however, some change in existing water quality may occur.

The LDEQ, Office of Environmental Services, is accepting written comments on a  Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permit prepared for C & M Marine Ventures, LLC, PO Box 40 Brittany, Louisiana 70718.  The facility is located at LA Highway 44 in Reserve, Mississippi River Mile Marker 139, operating between Mississippi River Mile Markers 45 and 235, in St. John, Plaquemines, Orleans, St. Bernard, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. James, Ascension, Iberville, East Baton Rouge, and West Baton Rouge Parishes.  Upon the effective date of the final permit, the LPDES permit shall replace the previously issued LPDES permit.

The principal discharge from this  source  made into the Mississippi River, waters of the state classified for primary contact recreation, secondary contact recreation, propagation of fish and wildlife, and drinking water supply.  Under the SIC  4499 and 3731, the applicant proposes to discharge dry commodity vessel washwater, coal and coke vessel washwater, incoming ballast water and void water, and facility ballast water and void water from an existing mobile barge and ship cleaning and repair facility.

During the preparation of this permit, it has been determined that the discharge will have no adverse impact on the existing uses of the receiving waterbody.  As with any discharge, however, some change in existing water quality may occur.
