Notice is hereby given by the governing authority of the Parish of Ascension, State of Louisiana, that a public hearing will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Ascension

NOTICE
Ascension Parish Government, P. O. Box 1659, Gonzales, LA 70707-1659, is requesting coverage under Sewage Sludge and Biosolids Use or Disposal General Permit LAJ650000 to prepare sewage sludge at the following seven parish owned wastewater treatment facilities: Darrow Al 13375, 3487 Darrow Ball Park Road in Darrow; Country Ridge, Al 51965, 15287 Palmetto Drive in Prairieville; Hillaryville, Al 116997, north end of Merchant School Road in Hillaryville; Ascension Parish Jail, Al 120289, 2384 Lemanville Cutoff Road in Donaldsonville; Lamar Dixon Expo Center, Al 83997, 9039 St. Landry Road, in Gonzales; Trailerland/Hope Villa, Al 51909, 38190 Smith Road, in Prairieville; and Butch Gore Ball Park, Al 40624, Ball Park Road, in Galvez.
The facility will prepare sewage sludge for subsequent disposal in the Colonial Landfill in Ascension Parish in accordance with conditions and requirements set forth in General Permit LAJ650000.
Sewage Sludge and Biosolids Use or Disposal General Permit LAJ650000 was issued by the Louisiana of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). The general permit contains standards, conditions, and requirements for the use or disposal of sewage sludge and biosolids that are required of facilities that prepare sewage sludge for disposal in permitted landfills.
Copies of the General Permit and the NOI filed by Ascension Parish Government may be examined at the Office of Environmental Services, Public Records Center, Department of Environmental Quality, 602 North Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, or by contacting Mr. Eura Dehart at (225) 219-3181. Viewing hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. Persons wishing to comment and/or request a public hearing may do so within thirty (30) days of publication of this notice by writing to the attention of Ms. Soumaya Ghosen at LDEQ, Public Participation Group, P. An Ordinance to Amend Section 69-28, Sub-section (B) of the Code of Ordinances with Respect to Sewer User Charges for Residential and Commercial Customers Discharging Domestic Sewage into the Town’s Sewer System.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SORRENTO THAT:
Section 69-28, Sub-section (b) of the Code of Ordinances for the Town of Sorrento is hereby amended and restated as follows:
Sec. 69.28. Sewer user charges; collection.
(b) The following current sewer user charge schedule shall apply to all customers discharging domestic sewage:
(1) Residential, $ 20.00 per month, $22.00 per month per trailer within a trailer park
(2) Commercial, $ 30.00 per month.
(3) Industrial/institutional, to be determined by the town on a case-by-case basis, but not less than the residential rate.
This ordinance was introduced on December 21, 2010, by Councilman Lionel Melancon, Jr. A public hearing having been duly held, the title read, and the ordinance considered, on motion by Councilman Milton Vicknair, seconded by Councilman Randy Anny, a record vote was had as follows:

Motion by Councilman Milton Vicknair to delete the Community Center Grant. Due to lack of a seconded, Councilman Milton Vicknair rescinded his motion.
Motion by Councilman Milton Vicknair and seconded by Councilman Randy Anny to table any decision on the Community Center until the next regular meeting. Motion carried. Vote as follows:

Capital Area Human Services District (CAHSD)
Request for Proposals
For Inpatient Medically Supported Detoxification Treatment Services
For Chemically Dependent Adults
CAHSD, a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana, is conducting a fair and impartial competitive procurement process to solicit proposals from qualified contractors interested in providing medically supported detoxification treatment services for chemically dependent adult males and females in an inpatient setting. The contractor must provide ten (10) medically supported detoxification beds. The facility must maintain a minimum of 90% utilization of contracted capacity throughout the term of the contract. Of those clients completing the program, a minimum of 50% must be admitted to the next appropriate level of care. Funding will be restricted at this time to the number of beds indicated above.
The services contracted as a result of this Request for Proposals (RFP) will be directed by CAHSD which provides services within the following seven (7) parishes: Ascension; East and West Baton Rouge; East and West Feliciana; Iberville; and Pointe Coupee. Qualified contractors must be licensed by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. Non-profit and for-profit agencies may submit proposals in response to this RFP, which is made possible by CAHSD.
The contract period will be renewable annually for up to 3 years, beginning March 1, 2011. A full summary of the work specifications is contained in the Proposal Guidelines package which will be available beginning January 5, 2011 through February 07, 2011.
The last date for CAHSD staff to receive questions concerning the RFP will be February 04, 2011.

By virtue of and in obedience to a Writ of SEIZURE AND SALE directed to me by the Honorable 23RD JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT in and for the PARISH OF ASCENSION, State of Louisiana, dated: WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2010, in the above entitled and numbered cause, I shalI proceed to sell at public auction at the principal front door of the Courthouse Annex 828 South Irma Blvd Gonzales, La 70737 of which the Civil District Court of the Parish of Ascension is held on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2011, at 10:00 A.M., to the last and highest bidder for cash, the following described property, to wit:
A certain tract or parcel of Land, together with all the buildings and improvements thereon, and all of the rights, ways, privileges, servitudes, appertenances and advantages hereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, situated in Section 29, T8S, R3E., Southeastern Land District, Ascension Parish, Louisiana being designated as LOT D-6 on a map entitled "Map of Survey for Sandra Gautreau" made by William C. Feazel dated March 20, 1999 recorded as Inst. #434570 of the official records of Ascension Parish, Louisiana. Subject to such servitudes and restrictions as are more particularly shown on said map; subject to restrictions, servitudes, rights-of-way and outstanding mineral rights of record affecting the property.
That certain manufactured home/mobile situated on the above described property, being a 1999 Bellmont Mobile Home bearing Serial No. MSB991680SN4l442, which said manufactured home/mobile home was immobilized pursuant to Act of lmmobilization dated June 7, 1999 and filed for record as Instrument No. 439609 of the records of Ascension Parish, Louisiana.
And from the proceeds of said sale to pay petitioner by preference over all other claims, the sum of: FORTY-ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE AND 41 / 100 ($41,855.41) DOLLARS, along with interest and attorney's fees and all other costs including my own costs and charges.
