Meth lab located, Prairieville businessman arrested

State Troopers arrested a Prairieville man Thursday following a narcotics investigation into his activities at his Baton Rouge place of business, TNT Tint, Troop A spokesman TFC Russell Graham said in a release.

State Troopers working in the Baton Rouge Narcotics Unit Troopers’ learned that John Thomas, 42, was operating a methamphetamine-manufacturing lab at TNT Tint in Baton Rouge, according to Graham.

Troopers approached the business, contacted Thomas, and learned that he was in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine. They secured the scene and certified personnel from the Drug Enforcement Administration processed the lab, Graham said.

Thomas was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of operation of a clandestine lab, possession of crystal meth, and traffic warrants from Port Vincent.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming, Graham said.
