Chief Deputy asks for public help with burglaries
Ascension Parish Chief Deputy Tony Bacala is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a black older model Dodge Ram Charger sports utility vehicle in connection with daytime residential burglaries.
The Dodge Ram Charger SUV has stock rims with all terrain tires. Investigators believe it has the large RAM emblem on the hood with “NO” tint on the windows. Authorities are interested in identifying and questioning the occupants of the Dodge SUV. The occupants are described as being possibly in their late teens to early twenties.
Homes being targeted are not occupied at the time of the burglaries and most of the burglaries are occurring in the northeast portion of Ascension Parish.
Since the beginning of April the Sheriff’s Office has been investigated several burglaries where doors were kicked in and televisions, laptops, electronics, guns and jewelry were stolen. The Dodge Ram Charger SUV has been seen at or in the area of these burglaries.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).
