Biker gang members indicted in Fred's shooting

Four Bandido Gang members were indicted by an Ascension Parish Grand Jury Friday for the shooting and beating of an ex-Bandido and the beating of another man at  Fred’s Bar on Hwy. 42, 23rd Judicial District Attorney Ricky Babin reported.

The nine-count indictments for each Bandido include conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit second-degree battery, second-degree battery, and two counts of attempted second-degree murder for the promotion furtherance or assistance of criminal gang.

Indicted in the Feb. 24 incident were:

• Baton Rouge Chapter Bandido President Joe Louis Flores, a/k/a “Bandido Joe,” 36, of Denham Springs

• Joe Louis Flores' brother, Jose Feliciano Flores, 42, of Denham Springs

• Chester Hunnicutt, a/k/a:  “Bam”, 49, of Prairieville, the admitted Bandido’s Sergeant at Arms

• Derrick Johnson, a/k/a:  “Big D” ,45, of Walker, a fellow Bandido member

Babin and Assistant District Attorney Robin C. O’Bannon presented the state’s case to the Grand Jury.

Babin said arrest warrants are pending on the newly indicted charges, and that new bonds will be set by Judge Ralph Tureau.

Joe Louis Flores and Chester Hunnicutt are being held in Ascension Parish Jail.

Jose Flores is currently out of jail on a $50,573 bond, and Derrick Johnson has bonded out of the Ascension jail, but is being in the

East Baton Rouge Parish Jail on armed robbery charges coming out of EBR.
