Gonzales man sentenced
A judged sentenced a Gonzales man Wednesday after he pled guilty to accessory after the fact to second degree murder, according to First Assistant District Attorney Charles Long.
Jerome Bougere, 32, of 41063 Cannon Road, was ordered to serve five years in the Department of Corrections, 24 months in the Ascension Parish jail with credit for time served, pay $50 per month for a probation supervision fee and was placed on three years supervised probation, Long said.
The judge also ordered that he undergo evaluation for sexual addiction and submit to treatment if recommended, the prosecutor said.
Bougere pled guilty to the accessory charge Sept. 29, 2009, in connection with the murder of Mark Waddell of Gonzales, which occurred Dec. 18, 2007, Long said.
