Authorities arrested a Baton Rouge woman in Gonzales Wednesday and extradited her to East Baton Rouge Parish, where she was booked on charges of terrorizing and criminal mischief.

Dale Marie Noel, 47, claimed she was attacked while working as a security guard at LSU, according to LSU Police.

Noel later admitted that she stabbed herself and was not attacked, according to authorities.

A federal grand jury indicted Noel on one count of making a false statement to a federal investigator.

She reportedly told an FBI special agent that she had been attacked by a man of Middle Eastern descent.

Two days later, authorities said she confessed to stabbing herself in the shoulder and stomach to get attention and because of an addiction to prescription medication.
