Fugitives wanted for Prairieville robbery
Ascension Parish authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding two suspects in the beating and robbery of a man at a Prairieville motel.
Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said Kenneth McLeod reported that he was robbed Oct. 27 while staying at the C’est Bon Motel on Airline Highway.
McLeod, who had been working at the State Fair in nearby East Baton Rouge Parish, admitted that he had invited a woman to his room a week before and paid her for sex, according to Bacala.
McLeod called the woman, identified as Rose, on the night of Oct. 27, Bacala said.
The woman arrived at the motel with two other females and a male, according to the chief deputy.
The male beat McLeod and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash before the three fled in a dark-colored truck, Bacala said.
Investigators identified “Rose” as Rose Ann Barker, 33, of 10504 Hwy. 22, Lot 28, St. Amant. She was arrested Nov. 19 for simple robbery, prostitution and two bench warrants for failure to appear. She is being held on a $17,736.50 bond set by Judge Jane Triche Milazzo.
Detectives identified the male suspect as 29-year-old Leo Haymond III of 5258 Mercury Dr., Darrow. According to detectives, Barker attempted to flee from the vehicle after the robbery but Haymond allegedly pulled a weapon on her and refused to allow her to leave.
Haymond is wanted for simple robbery, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Investigators identified the two other female suspects as 26-year-old Catherine Summerville of 42230 Moody Dixon Road, Prairieville, and 32-year-old Tammie David, address unknown.
Summerville was arrested Nov. 20 for simple robbery, and is being held on a $7,500 bond set by Milazzo.
David remains at large.
