Three booked in meth lab bust

Authorities arrested three people in connection with the operation of two methamphetamine labs in a handicap van, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Following an anonymous tip, agents from the Tri-Parish Task Force and deputies intercepted the van in Springfield on Tuesday afternoon, deputies said.

Investigators reportedly found two meth labs, a small amount of meth and the precursors for making the drug. A quadriplegic man, who owned and occupied the van, was not arrested.

The names of the three adults and the counts on which they were booked into the Livingston Parish jail were:

• James R. Bare, 40, 22326 Teal St., Maurepas, driving under suspicion, cruelty to the infirmed, creation and operation of a meth lab, possession of meth and manufacturing meth.

• Kristopher James Sanchez, 32, 26375 Black Lake Club Road, Maurepas, cruelty to the infirmed, operation and creation of a meth lab, possession of meth and manufacturing meth.

• Rachel Pamela Pruyn, 27, 26692 Black Lake Club Road, Maurepas, cruelty to the infirmed, creation and operation of a meth lab, manufacturing meth, possession of meth, speeding, no driver’s license, expired motor vehicle insurance and issuing worthless checks.
