Motorcycle rider walks away from crash with minor injuries

A motorcycle was involved in a crash around 8:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Hwy. 42 and Old Jefferson in Prairieville.

The driver of the motorcycle, an unidentified Baton Rouge resident, walked away from the accident, which occurred at the intersection of Old Jefferson and Hwy. 42.

The motorcycle crashed with a car as it turned left onto Old Jefferson.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and suffered minor road rash, according to a police officer at the scene.

The operators of both vehicles where issued tickets for improper lane usage.
