Six arrested at Prairieville house

Authorities arrested six people Tuesday at a Prairieville house familiar to law enforcement.

The house, located at 15005 Beau Jon St., was the scene of a triple shooting last month, which resulted in the death of 17-year-old Kolby Lambert.

Ascension Parish Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said investigators suspect the April 14 murder appeared to be over a drug-related robbery.

He said Antonio J. Coco, 28, was one of the shooting victims in the incident.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on Monday received a report of a theft and sexual battery that occurred at the house, Bacala said.

Investigators obtained an arrest for sexual battery on Coco after conducting an investigation, he said.

Narcotics agents on Tuesday executed a search warrant on Coco’s residence, listed as the Beau Jon address, and found a quantity of crack cocaine and other narcotics, along with five firearms and $1,200 in cash, Bacala said.

Authorities charged Coco with sexual battery, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, possession of Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and five counts of illegal carrying of a weapon.

Bacala said 60-year-old Eddie Mac Coco Sr., identified as Antonio Coco’s father, was charged with keeping a disorderly place due to the ongoing suspected criminal activity at the home.

Four other individuals were arrested each on charges of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, possession of Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and five counts of illegal carrying of a weapon, Bacala said.

The four suspects were identified as:

• Henry Christian, 40, of 38190 Hwy. 621, Gonzales;

• Patrick Williams, 35, of 16393 Tillotson Dr., Prairieville;

• Tiffany Roper, 22, of 15005 Beau Jon St., Prairieville;

• Rose Barker, 33, of 10504 Hwy. 22, Lot 28, St. Amant.

Bacala said the investigation into the activities at the Prairieville house is ongoing and more charges are expected.

During a three-day warrant round-up last month, authorities arrested 39-year-old Lamont Richardson, of 15005 Beau Jon, and charged him in an armed robbery reported in Prairieville on Feb. 10, according to a previous report from the Sheriff’s Office.
