Two from Ascension injured in crash

A 16-year-old from Donaldsonville and a 17-year-old from Gonzales were involved in a crash on Hwy. 70 on Friday, according to police reports.

State Police said the 1991 Ford Festiva went into a ditch, hit an embankment and came to a rest on the driver’s side.

Troopers described the Donaldsonville driver’s injuries as critical, and the Gonzales passenger’s injuries as moderate.

Both were taken to a Thibodaux hospital, troopers said.
