Four transported to Gonzales after crash
Four people injured in an Assumption Parish crash Friday were transported to a Gonzales hospital, according to police reports.
A 2007 GMC Sierra truck and a 1999 Ford F-150 truck collided head-on at about7:45 p.m. on Hwy. 69, east of Hwy. 70, according to State Police.
Gregory Hedges Jr., 19, of Pierre Part, reportedly crossed the center line and went into the path of the Ford truck, according to troopers.
Hedges sustained severe injuries and was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, and later to Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, the report said.
Megan Blanchard and Megan Wyckoff, both 18 and from Napoleonville, were passengers in the GMC and taken to the Gonzales hospital, according to the report.
The Ford’s driver, Carl Saucier, 45, of Baker, had moderate injuries, troopers reported.
