Woman dies in Hwy. 1 crash, Donaldsonville man injured

A Napoleonville woman was killed and a Donaldsonville man was injured in a Monday morning crash, according to a Louisiana State Police release.

Mary Hebert, 79, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Rontrell Riley, 20, was taken to Assumption Community Hospital with minor injuries, State Police said.

Hebert was traveling north on Hwy. 1 when her vehicle veered into the path of Riley’s car, according to the report.

Troopers do not suspect alcohol as a fator.
