Three trucks involved in Airline Highway crash

Two trucks struck trees off Airline Highway near Hwy. 42 in the Prairieville area Friday morning, according to Louisiana State Police Trooper Russell Graham.
Norman Lewis, 52, of Leander, Texas, had to be cut out of his 2004 Chevy pickup, Graham said. An Acadian Ambulance helicopter transported Lewis to Baton Rouge General Hospital. Police charged Lewis with careless operation.
Graham said three trucks were involved in the crash with two hitting trees after exiting Airline Highway at around 10 a.m. Friday.
Robin Brooks, 63, sustained minor injuries when her 2009 Dodge truck hit a tree. She had to be transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital, Graham said.
Ben Fontenot, 35, of Prairieville, was not injured but his 2006 Ford pickup was involved in the incident, Graham said.
