By His Grace: The King is coming!

Edith Nevis

"The time promised by God has come at last!" he announced. "The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!"

Will you hold fast and stand firm for your faith in Christ?

Edit Nevis

Are you willing to be a bold witness as an ambassador for Christ to advance His kingdom?

The reasons for these important questions are the season in which we live. Just look around you. There is a tremendous amount of evidence God is on the move and that the coming of Christ is near. As believers, you and I, must run this race for Christ and to completion by sharing him with the world and through our testimony.

We, the children of God, must be prepared and not be found guilty of slacking off at our post. For it is written, “Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed."

It's important to be watchful and take heed to what is going around you and in the world. As watchman on the wall, it is vital to share truth according to the word of God as we sound the alarm of pending danger and the coming of Christ with those who are lost or misinformed.

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence.”

There is safety in the Lord for those who sincerely seek him. But if you are not concerning yourself regarding what is happening around you, you could miss something important. The Lord instructs us through his written word:

"Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect -- if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."

More than ever, we as the body of Christ must share the great news of Christ's imminent return. This is not to say we are to become so super spiritual that those we are sharing with look upon us as delusional. The Lord shared how we are to accomplish this successfully: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

We are to share the love the of God and to perform all that he commands of us. When our lives become a witness before others as righteous, it then brings validation to our testimony of Christ. And do so boldly and without fear for our father in heaven is with us every step of the way.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

I have encountered increasingly frequent occasions were the Lord has used me to be a witness before others. This is what I refer to as a unexpected divine appointment, for not everyone you encounter for the Lord will be met within the walls of a church. The Lord trusts you and I to be his vessel for which he can use to love on another.

In that moment, He then can reveal himself to a hurting world through you and me. Our obedience to His calling on our life brings life to an otherwise dire situation before those broken in spirit.

When you and I follow in the footsteps of Jesus then we will follow the path of righteousness. He shall receive all the glory.

“He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.”

You may question how to complete this race you speak of when so much has been lost. I never said it would come easy. What I do know is when we call on the name of Jesus, His love is sufficient in our weakness. He promises never to leave us. And I can assure you if you take a step toward Christ, He will take two steps toward you.

Examine your relationship with the one who holds the key to your eternal resting place. The time is now for you to decide, will you trust Him and learn of Him for yourself?

The return to our soon-coming king draws near. If you have finally reached end of self and true desire a relationship with the Lord, or would like to renew it, allow me to extend an invitation to experience His unconditional love for you. By your own free will you accept Christ as Lord and Savior? Do not allow this moment to pass; tomorrow is not promised.

Please repeat this prayer: "Lord, Jesus, forgive me of my sins I committed against you. I believe Jesus died for my sins and has risen again. Please come into my life and heart and lead the way. I confess you as my Lord and Savior from this day forward. In Jesus' name, amen."

Welcome into the family of Christ.

May the lord keep you and bless you continuously. Shalom, go in peace.
