By His Grace: The sovereign plans of God
“How long, LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, 'Violence!' but you do not save? Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds. Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.”
With all that has occurred in recent weeks in our nation and around the world, especially since the beginning of the year 2021, one would wonder where we are in the prophetic timeline of God's master plan. Are we on the brinks of another civil unrest or a war? Many questioned how close we are really to the coming of Christ. Answer: close.
And just as the Prophet Habakkuk voiced aloud his grievances of injustice of his days, many today also have questioned where is God? Did he not hear the multitude of prayers throughout the land? What many failed to understand that which unfolds before us is not a political warfare but a spiritual one of good versus evil for a time which we now live.
The Apostle Paul spoke of these very things which is to come in the last days.
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
What is lost on the faint of heart is the true knowledge of God, for he has a plan. You may ask is it the plan of God that evil prevail over what is right in his sight. He is a holy and He is just. His plans are his alone and shall be executed on his timetable and not our own. Remember, He is also sovereign and can use that of evil intent done by man to fulfill his divine purpose. Just like the days of Joseph when sold into slavery by his brothers and declared dead to their father, God used what was meant to harm and turned it into good for others.
“But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.’
And as followers of Christ we, too, are to remain in faith as we continue to walk in love regardless of world views and dictates. We are to pray for one another and for those in leadership. Remember, this world is not our home, do not conform to it. As believer’s in Christ, we are called to be a light in a world of darkness. Never has there been a time like now do we need to get our house in order in preparation to meet the Lord as we continue to help others find their way to him as well.
It is written: “and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
What is the Gospel?
“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.”
There is a tremendous amount of evidence God is on the move and that the coming of Christ is draws near. Be not afraid to what is to come for those who are found in Christ shall be shelter from the storm. There is safety in the lord for those who seek him.
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."
Brothers and sisters in Christ rest assure the sovereign plans of God shall prevail.
The Lord’s Answer
“Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”
Are you prepared for what is to come? If Christ returned today, would you be ready?
If you are unsure whether you’re standing with Christ Jesus and are ready to establish a relationship with the son of God, allow me to extend an invitation to experience his wonderful love and all that it brings with it. This has nothing to do with religion and all to do with a relationship. By your own free will, you accept Christ as Lord and Savior.
Please repeat this prayer: "Lord Jesus, forgive my sins I committed against you. I believe Jesus died for my sins and has risen again. Please come into my life and heart and lead the way. I confess you as my lord and savior from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
Welcome into the family of Christ.
May the lord keep you and bless you continuously. Shalom, go in peace.
