Balance
In today's world, balance of self is often lost due to various demands, work, family, and other responsibilies. However, one must make "me" time to find internal peace.
I do not claim to have the answer, and I am not one to say my way is the only way, but in my studies I have come across this reading from Lao Tzu, the believed writer of the Tao Te Ching (The Way). So, this week I share this with the readers.
Chapter 67-Tao Te Ching
Some say that my teaching is nonsense.
Others call it lofty, but impractical.
But to those who look inside themselves, this nonsense makes perfect sense.
And to those who practice it, this loftiness has roots that go deep.
I have just three things to teach:
Moderation, Compassion and Humility.
These are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, one returns to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies, one accords with the way things are.
Compassionate towards oneself, one reconciles all beings in the world.
May you find peace in your hearts and a moment of "me" time in this busy world so that "balance of self" is maintained. The other side of the coin is loss of "self" and personal disharmony.
Happy Training!
