Donaldsonville man arrested on felony drug charges

Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Keith Murphy Nailer, 34, of 314 Williams St., Donaldsonville, on felony drug and traffic charges following an investigative stop Thursday.

A patrol deputy on assignment in the Paincourtville area observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 70 East.

The deputy conducted a stop of the vehicle and identified the driver as Keith Murphy Nailer.

While interviewing Nailer, the officer noted activity by the suspect consistent with drug violators.

At a point during the interview, Keith Murphy Nailer consented to a search of his vehicle. During the search, deputies seized a quantity of suspected Heroin and U.S. currency.

Keith Murphy Nailer was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

• Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute
• Speeding
• Driving Under Suspension
• Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag

Keith Murphy Nailer was incarcerated with bond set at $35,000.
