River Region Art Association announces camp

River Region Art Association announces the opening of its Summer Art Camp on June 15.

Summer Art Camp will be held at the Depot Gallery on the following weeks:

June 15 – 19, June 22 -26, June 29 -July 3, July 12 – 17, July 20 -24, July 27 – 31, Aug. 3 – 7.

Age groups and times are: Ages 6 – 10 attend 9 am – 12 noon; Ages 12 – 15+ attend 1 – 4 pm.

All safety guidelines put forth by the State of Louisiana and “OpenSafely” will be adhered to. We are a registered business with “OpenSafely,” and their requirements are for public view.

The fee for summer camp is $100 a week. A Camp Registration Form is available at the association's website, rraa@riverregionartassociation.org. Registration can be mailed in, but do not include payment at this time. Payments will be collected on the first day of camp.

An Activities for Summer Art Camp document lists the descriptions of the activities of each week of camp. These documents will be found under the tab Summer Art Camp at the website.

The number of students will be limited to eight in each week of camp in order to maintain the safe 6-foot social distancing requirement in our classroom. Masks are to be worn by all. including teachers. Sanitizing is done before and after class, and students will have their own supplies for the week of class. A member of the River Region Art Association will act as a “Safety Monitor” during each class. The CoV19 Safety Plan is also available on the website.
