APSO seeking suspect in Saturday morning shooting

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking the whereabouts of 18-year-old Darrel Morris Jr. who is wanted for disturbing the peace, six counts illegal use of weapons, possession of firearm by convicted felon, and assault by drive-by shooting.

According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, as the investigation continues from shots fired after a party in Donaldsonville Saturday morning, detectives received information that Morris was involved.

This case is still under investigation and more arrests may be forthcoming.
