APSO arrest Gonzales man for attempted second-degree murder

According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, deputies arrested 39-year-old Samuel Muse who is charged with attempted second-degree murder.

Shortly after 10 a.m. deputies responded to an area off Roddy Road in Gonzales in reference to a stabbing. Upon deputies arrival, they learned that Muse and the victim were attempting to shoot a rap video when an altercation ensued between the two and Muse then stabbed the victim in the neck with a pocket knife.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Muse was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
